Well, maybe not. My original battery for my Sansa c250 wasn't taking a charge well. So I bought this. Using this battery improves the sound quality because my c250 plays music with it when the original battery wouldn't (i.e., was dead). So yeah, it doesn't get five stars for sound quality!



Also, look at "upgrading" your firmware to RockBox. It will improve your battery life and definitely improve the sound quality by adding support for OGG and FLAC formats.
